SeaKeepers Award

It was an exciting honor to receive the International SeaKeeper’s Lifetime Ocean Conservation Achievement Award in 2014 and to be recognized in the same category with other esteemed ocean heroes – Dr. Sylvia Earle, Wendy Schmidt, Fabien Cousteau, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Prince Albert II of Monaco – that I greatly admire.  

The International SeaKeepers Society supports marine science and conservation by utilizing privately owned yachts as platforms for oceanographic research, educational outreach, and marine conservation. Their efforts eliminate vessel costs and permit scientists to allocate those funds to maximize research potential
