Three Generations of Activists
It was with intense passion that I took to the streets of Washington, D.C., on January 21, 2017, to stand in solidarity with women across the country to protest the election of Trump and his support of regressive, destructive policies for the US and the world, the most egregious being withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement and the roll back of woman’s abortion rights, immigrant rights, and EPA and Interior Department regulations. I marched with my sister Sally Cogan and her two daughters, Kelly Cogan and Drury Thorp. The energy generated during that day has continued to propel hard work by thousands of women and men to bring progressive values and programs back to the US.
